Living in Unity

  "Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit" (Ephesians 4:3) Unity is a fundamental characteristic of the Christian community. In Ephesians 4:3, St. Paul exhorts believers to "make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace." This verse highlights that unity is not automatic but requires effort, patience, and a shared commitment to Christ. True unity does not mean uniformity; rather, it is a harmonious relationship among believers centered on faith, love, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. The Bible provides many examples of unity among God’s people. The early Christian community in Acts 2:42-47 exemplified unity through shared worship, fellowship, and mutual support. Jesus Himself prayed for the unity of His followers, saying, "That they may be one as We are one" (John 17:21).
